Miley Cyrus will kick off her 45-show 2009 North American Tour starting September 14, 2009 in Portland, OR.

Miley Cyrus stars in the hit Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana,” which is currently in its third season. She also stars in the feature film “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” which topped the box office its opening weekend. Next, she will begin filming “The Last Song” scripted by Nicolas Sparks. Miley is a multiplatinum recording artist and is the youngest ever recording artist with four #1 albums in less than three years. She is also the best-selling author of Miles to Go, her first book that shares her inspiring story, spanning from her Southern roots in Tennessee to the excitement of her record-setting triumphs in TV, music and film. Her “The Best of Both Worlds 2007-2008” North American concert tour was one of the most in-demand tours of the year, and won the Billboard 2008 Touring Award for Breakthrough Act.

The tour encompasses 45 dates in 43 cities, concluding Dec. 2 in Miami, and will feature Metro Station as her opening act at all performances. Notably, it's being billed as a Miley Cyrus tour, without marquee billing for her Disney Channel alter ego, Hannah Montana, as on her previous tour.

Her previous tour set off a ticket feeding frenzy among her teen and preteen fans, with scalpers asking thousands of dollars for the best seats at various stops.

This time, tour promoter AEG Live is using a paperless ticket delivery system, where ticket buyers will be admitted to the shows by showing a government issued photo ID and the credit card used to buy their tickets. It’s similar to a system AC/DC used successfully to reduce scalping on its last tour.

American Express® Cardmembers will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase advance tickets for Miley Cyrus’ upcoming North American Tour prior to public sale. Tickets will be available for purchase with an American Express Card through or by calling 1-800-745-3000, from 10:00 AM local time Wednesday, June 10th through 10:00 PM local time Friday, June 12th. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Saturday, June 13th at 10:00 AM local.

Free Miley Cyrus concert ticket giveaways, meet and greet passes, and backstage passes will be posted here as available.
